Full fee refund available to Executive Committee members in 2012

The club faces yet another year in 2012 where we are finding it difficult to fill some key committee roles (in particular secretary, registrar, grounds coordinator and administration manager).

In recognition of the effort put in by each Executive Committee member, it has been ruled that 2012 memberships (child or adult) will be refunded.

Scholarship Places Available

Up to five 2012 junior memberships (Rooball/SSG to U18, either boys or girls) to Melville City Football Club are being offered to players at a reduced subscription cost of $100. These are not aimed at elite players but specifically intended for families who otherwise would find it difficult to afford the financial burden of the normal membership costs.

2012 Pre Season Sessions with Pro-Football Training

In addition to the January 3-day Skillz clinic at Gairloch Reserve in Applecross from Monday 23rd January to Wednesday 25th January, Melville City FC plan yet again to organise 8 weeks of Pre Season Training with Pro-Football. This is open to individuals or teams. Sessions will run on Tuesday evenings from 7th February. Venue to be announced. Cost will be around $140 per player for the 8 week sessions.

U18 State Team Training

All U18's - Thanks for all those who attended trials.

We have decided to hold the squad of 25 to 30 players through the summer and make final selections early February. The training times for the Tuesday and Thursday sessions at Len Shearer now run from 18:00 until 19:30. Sessions will continue through the summer months. A number of available players will be selected to tour with the first team to Bunbury in January. Note that games will commence end January with the night series matches.

Under Melville City’s training partnership with Pro Football Training, junior players are invited to attend the following Summer Skillz Clinics Programs.

(1) A 3 Day Indoor Skillz Clinic at LORD’s sports club in Subiaco, open to players from age 5 through to 15, from Monday 16 January to Wednesday 18 January.

• 8.30am to 10.30am (Players born 2006 - 2003)
• 11.00am to 1.00pm (Players born 2002 - 2000)
• 2.00pm to 4.00pm (Players born 1999 - 1996)
