Founded in 1969, Melville City FC is the home of football (soccer) in the City of Melville. Our club boasts the largest membership of any club in Western Australia.

The overall aim of the club is to develop player’s skills at all levels while providing a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

Recording MCFC's Video History

The club has endorsed a project to collect historical information and collate it into a short Historical Video that will be used to recognise the part that Melville City FC has played in the community and moving forward into the Murdoch University Melville Football Club era.

Over the coming months, you will see the Video Project Team, Penny TannerHoath and Olivia Spear, taking footage, conducting interviews and collecting information to contribute to the Video Project.

Timeline: Completion of Project at the time of the Murdoch Playing Fields Official Launch in January 2018.

The Video Project Team will be present at the Rooball Final Fixture Day and Club Launch, September 9 at Murdoch University Playing Fields.

If you have any objections to any information including photos, memorabilia and video footage of you or your family being used for this Project, please email the Club Secretary  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  with your concerns.

It will take several months of collecting, archiving and editing, so your feedback and contributions are welcome and valued along the way, to the Video Project Team C/-  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The use of video and digital material is being presented as a 'Living Document' because it is able to be shared in a much faster and wider way than a hard paper document, flier or book could. The Video Project Team cannot accept or store hard copies of any material, so please share all of your wonderful memorabilia either in person via conversation/interview or electronically.

You can contribute directly by any of these means:

1. Photos and Videos. Supply your quality digital or other photos and video snippets of Club Members past and present, Club events, Club memorabilia, match footage and more, by emailing  This email address is being protected from spambots. 2. Interviews. Using your smartphone or own sound technologies to record an interview of yourself or other club member and send it to the Video Project Team or request a Sound App Link and script suited to your situation, from  This email address is being protected from spambots. 3. It is not possible for the Video Project Team to attend to every Member, Match and Event, so we are relying on Club Members to supply as much information to the Video Project Team and to use digital technology to share as much information as possible.

4. Contact Penny on  This email address is being protected from spambots. 5. Talk directly with Penny or Olivia at the Rooball Event September 9.

6. The Video Project Team will post regular updates and Project Snippets to the Club Facebook Page through to completion of the Project in January 2018.
